Protective Mat & UV Cover Towel Set for Flat-Jack 2.0

A ground mat and a sun towel that protect your Flat-Jack from both sides: rough terrain below and UV rays above. Note: This kit includes the mat and towel accessories only — Flat-Jack 2.0 units are sold separately. The Flat-Jack is built to handle years of campsite leveling, but the two things that wear down any inflatable fastest are sharp, abrasive ground and long hours in direct sun. This set covers both. The Ground Protector Mat is a soft, marine-grade carpet top with a tough rubber bottom. It sits between your Flat-Jack and the terrain, adding a durable buffer against rocks, gravel and roots. It also absorbs the abrasion from repeated drive-ons and drive-offs that wears on the Flat-Jack’s outer material over time. The Cover Towel is a 100% cotton towel sized to drape completely over an inflated Flat-Jack. Once you’re level, your Flat-Jack can sit in direct sunlight for hours or even days, and extended UV exposure can degrade the material. Vanlife Outfitters recommends covering your Flat-Jack whenever you’re camped in direct sun. Neither one changes how you set up or use your Flat-Jack. Why Add the Set Puncture defense: the mat adds a layer of protection against sharp rocks, gravel and debris. Reduces abrasion wear: the mat protects the Flat-Jack’s surface from repeated friction against rough ground. UV protection: the towel reduces sun exposure and helps prevent material degradation over time. Full coverage: at 44" x 22", the towel drapes completely over an inflated Flat-Jack (26.6" diameter). Compact and packable: both fold small and store easily in your Flat-Jack bag or cab. How to Use Lay the mat on the ground where you plan to position your Flat-Jack. Place the Flat-Jack on top, aligned with the yellow tread marks as usual. Roll your tire on and inflate to your desired height. Drape the towel over the top, covering as much of the exposed surface as possible. Remove the towel before deflating and driving off. Recommended For Anyone camping on gravel pads, rocky pull-offs or undeveloped sites, or spending extended time in direct sun. That covers most boondocking, especially in hot climates or at high elevation, where UV exposure is more intense.
