Lockett & Wilde Mystery: The Ghosts of the Library

How can Matilda hope to become a ‘normal’ St Euthalia’s school pupil? It’s all that she’s longed to be. However as she forms her first friendship, there are stronger stirrings than the Headmistress’s ghost cat. The school library is in chaos. Librarian Mr Nutt was rumoured to be ninety-nine years old, so his unexpected death, falling from a ladder, has upended the school. However, entering this space, Matilda discerns furious presences beyond the sort of ghosts with whom she can usually communicate. What’s more, new librarian, Miss Quail, shares Matilda’s abilities. In fact, she’s uncertain as to how she can make a good impression while every positive action she makes is upended by the angry ghosts. What is behind it? Could it be that Mr Nutt didn’t ‘fall’? That there’s another reason for his untimely death? One to do with another St Euthalia’s staff member? Bookwagon loves this clever, beautifully crafted, and wonderfully illustrated series. Lockett & Wilde Mystery: The Ghosts of the Library is a cracking- and elegant- book. While the earlier two titles in the series are truly engaging and enjoyable, this, third, book can be read on its own. It is such a great read. Welcome aboard Lockett & Wilde Mystery: The Ghosts of the Library.
