Matured for 11 months in French oak (20% new) with 20% whole bunch inclusion. Impenetrable inky black colour with a very deep dark red black hue. Pronounced liquorice and blackberry aromas are intertwined with red plum, spicy vanillin cedar, fennel, smoky earth and peppered dried herb notes. Rich, concentrated blackberry, liquorice and red to dark plum fruits glide across the refined, silky textured palate. Excellent underlying structure with sculptured tannins providing a chiselled yet polished feel. Vanillin cedar, smoky clove, earth and peppered fennel elements form the back drop. Understated in its power it finishes long and highly finessed.
