BSL signed Antiperfection Art @ The Florentine

I’m currently studying for my BSL2 and my main goal is to be able to teach watercolour in sign language with as much comfort as I teach in spoken English. Friday 20th Nov 10-11:30am @ The Florentine This free event is for me to exchange my experience in watercolour and relaxed art for your patience while I get my signing up to speed. I’m so excited and grateful for this trade, as I studied languages at university and know that only by throwing myself in will I get better. Once my signing is better I hope to be able to hold more signed events including free sessions for the Sheffield Deaf Children’s Society. This watercolour session will be suitable for total beginners or more experienced painters. All students will be encouraged to focus on the idea of antiperfection and enjoying the process as much as the outcome. We will cover the basics and build comfort whilst painting a flowery heart. There is free parking at the venue, and we will be in a side room for comfort and privacy. Please note: This session is for the Deaf community or anyone who would feel more comfortable in a space learning art via BSL. Please only sign up for a space if you plan to come as there are limited seats. There will also be a certain amount of me finding my way until all key signs are learnt and I’m a fast learner so all feedback received gratefully!
