Paula's Morning Light

Unreleased seedling. Not Available Yet. Bring the gentle glow of morning sunlight to your garden with Paula's Morning Light, a formal decorative dahlia in a soft buttercream yellow. The warm, creamy pastel blooms feature beautifully shaped petals that sweep neatly back toward the stem. A consistent summer bloomer, Paula's Morning Light maintains its lovely color and form throughout the season. The bloom size is 4 to 6 inches depending on disbudding. I grow some of Paula’s Morning Light under a shade cloth and the color is a very pale yellow and is almost white. After three years of growing this promising seedling, I hope to release it in the future. All tubers are sold as a single tuber with a visible eye. Tuber orders do not ship until April depending on the weather. If you live in southern Florida, southern Alabama, and southern Texas, I will try to ship tubers in late March depending on the weather. They are shipped USPS. I only sell and ship in the U.S. I do have a checkout & shipping policy on my website. Remember it can take 1 to 2 seasons for your new dahlia tuber to adapt to its new environment with different daylight hours, climate, and soil conditions. Be patient as your dahlia becomes established and adjusts to its new home. If you live in the southern states, I would recommend planting dahlias where they receive afternoon shade. If that is not possible, you may want to use a shade cloth. I find that dahlias do not like it when the dew point and temperature are close to each other or if the dew point is over 70 so a shade cloth is helpful to help the dahlias tolerate these conditions.
