How to use Choose a pot with a drainage hole. Fill with Craft Desert Mix straight from the bag. No perlite or grit needed. Water thoroughly, then let the mix dry out completely before watering again. Once your plant is settled in, feed with our Organic Succulent & Cactus Plant Food. FAQ Do I need to add perlite or sand? No. It's already chunky and gritty, so it's ready to use as is. Why peat free? Peat holds a lot of water and can be hard to rewet once it dries out, which isn't what desert plants want. We use triple-washed coconut coir instead. Which size should I get? 2 Qt is great for repotting a few small plants. 4 Qt covers a handful of pots. 8 Qt is best for bigger collections or larger pots. When will my pre-order ship? By November 9.
