Manuel Cruz: Masterpiece Floppy Eared Rabbit

Magnificent floppy-eared rabbit sculpture by top Oaxaca artists Manuel and Ruvi Cruz. This figure is very well carved, dynamic, and expressive. It is carved from a single piece of wood with unbelievable attention to detail. The ears seem to bounce with every scratch of the rabbit's leg. The painting by Manuel's wife Ruvi is superb. She created an intricate design, with flowing fretwork lines and geometric patterns that emphasize the shape of the rabbit. A gorgeous piece! Read more about Manuel Cruz and his art.
