Oak is a natural and living material, which means that each piece of furniture has its own unique character. The grain, texture and natural medullary ray patterns vary from piece to piece and are characteristic features of oak. During the oil treatment of our Smoked Oak, the wood absorbs the oil differently depending on its natural structure and grain direction. This may result in natural variations in colour and finish, with some areas appearing lighter or darker than others. Variations in colour, grain and surface appearance are therefore natural characteristics of the wood and should not be considered defects. These individual variations are part of the beauty and character of natural oak, making every piece unique. The changing table meets the safety requirements of EN 14749:2016 + A1:2022 The water-based paint has been tested and approved in relation to current European toy legislation EN 71-3:2013 + EN 71-3:2019 (Test on evaporation of toxics on painted/lacquered surfaces). The changing table is intended for children from birth up to 12 kg. The furniture is delivered unassembled: The majority of designs are delivered flat packed. It allows us to optimize global logistics, reduce inventory and transport costs which means reducing CO2 emissions for each design. This also means that parts of the furniture can be replaced over the years, which ensures a long life for the design.
