Germination takes 21-30 days. If germination has not occurred in 6-8 weeks cold stratify. Move to -4°C-+4°C for 6-8 weeks. Keep at this cycle until germination occurs. Transplant seedlings once large enough to handle to 8cm pots. Plant out once well grown 30 cm apart. You can direct sow outdoors from July for following year flowering. Once planted Orlaya requires little maintenance and is an easy attractive flower to grow. A beautiful delicate cut flower. Deadheading will encourage more flowers.
