Ascendant (Ascendant & Descendant, Book 1)

She fell first. He’ll fall harder. Alyssa has always wanted to be the best of the Angel Guard: she sticks to the rules, takes care of her duties, looking over the miserable humans who dwell on earth down below, and above all, does not question the Commanders of the Guard. But when Alyssa sees an injustice, she can’t help herself but intervene. Cast out of heaven, she’s forced to live on earth among humans. And to earn her wings back, she’ll need to prove her dedication to the Guard by fulfilling their goals on earth. But every time she tries to help someone, her actions are quickly thwarted. Victor, a former Guard leader and now fallen angel, is clearly determined to stop her doing the Guard’s work. But why does he have to look so sinfully gorgeous while doing so? And is he right to be questioning the work of the Guard? This stunningly beautiful romantasy is perfect for fans of Hush Hush, Twilight and Heavenly Bodies.
