Originally created for Pablo Picasso, these oil pastels have a beautifully creamy, smooth texture and stunning colour range. Using an extremely pure synthetic binding medium and mineral wax, the pigments are ground with an inert, non-siccative binding medium that does not oxidise and has no effect upon either film stability or surface. This base is then mixed with wax (neutral pH). Set contains 6 iridescent colours, ideal for adding shimmering, metallic effects and highlights Can be blended with a solvent such as turpentine or Zest-It Suitable for use on mixed media, oil or acrylic paper
