Bicolor Amaryllis

The Bicolor Amaryllis produces large flowers with a striking red and white colour combination. Bright white markings extend from the green centre across the vivid red petals. The plant usually grows around 40–50 cm tall. Plant the bulb in a pot with fertile, well-drained compost. Leave the upper part of the bulb above the soil. Place the pot in a bright, warm position and water moderately. Avoid excessive moisture around the bulb. Flowers usually appear around 6–8 weeks after planting under suitable conditions. This variety is ideal for pots and bright indoor spaces. Its large red and white blooms are also excellent for cutting and decorative floral arrangements. See also : Fuchsia Amaryllis
