‘Candela’ chandelier/pendant light by F. G. Schmidt for Domus, teak with 5 globe bulbs, 1960s
A beautifully crafted lamp made from solid teak with height adjustment. The lamp combines mid-century Scandinavian aesthetics with warm teak and an unusual, organic shape. The five opal globe bulbs create a soft, atmospheric light, making the lamp a striking statement piece both in the living room and above the dining table. The lamp body, featuring five curved arms and a central suspension shaft, the free-hanging counterweight and the lampshade are all made of teak. It is fitted with 5 E27 sockets, which are fitted with new LED globe bulbs (invoice is included for warranty purposes). The height is adjusted via the approx. 3m-long, fabric-covered cable, which has been replaced true to the original. The entire light is in immaculate original condition with minimal signs of wear. The wood displays a beautiful, even patina. In consultation with our electrician, no testing is required here due to the non-conductive materials.
