This was back in the day when Jameson was bottled locally by 'Wholesale Bottlers', and each local bottler had their own label. A piece of Irish Whiskey history, bottled in England. Bottled molded R. Mc N. & C0. Ltd. 10E The cork has damage and wear to the top and the bottle and label has significant cellar soiling, but the closure remains intact with no signs of seepage. Alcohol Measured as 25 Under Proof (U.P.) - This refers to the early days of testing alcohol by soaking gun powder in the liquid and seeing if it would still ignite - if soaked gunpowder still flashed this was "Proof", and the bottle was subject to a higher tax rate.
