This piece is a homecoming. For years, the brand has lived at the intersection of three cultures, Myrah's Mexican roots, her husband Robindra's Indian heritage, the Balinese hands that bring everything to life. But this is the first time I have reached all the way back into my own childhood and pulled something forward into the collection. The La Flora Set is inspired by the folk art of my father's village in Mexico. A tradition that has no gallery, no museum, no institution behind it just women, and thread, and flowers, and time. Blooms stitched onto cloth as a way of saying: we were here. We believed in beauty. We passed this on. Flora, in Roman mythology, is the goddess of flowering things. Of spring. Of the moment the earth remembers it is alive. Her festival, the Floralia, was a celebration of abundance and color and the return of warmth after a long cold. That is what this set is. A return. A celebration. An opening. The Making Each piece is hand-embroidered by one of the Balinese artisan families who have been making this brand with us since the beginning. Morning glories in deep blue, roses in soft pink, gold sunbursts, emerald vines, stitched one thread at a time onto 100% natural French linen. The top is ruffle-layered with wide straps and a soft elastic gather that sits easy on the shoulder. The shorts are high-waisted and relaxed, with generous pockets. Machine cold, hang dry. Do not iron directly over the embroidery; use the reverse side or a pressing cloth. Please allow 3–5 weeks from order to shipment.
