Fault Lines

This piece was inspired by Mark Twain’s words, “Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.” It’s the kind of truth you only really understand once you’ve carried it long enough to feel it corroding from the inside. Some things don’t explode — they crack slow, deep under the surface where no one can see. You keep telling yourself you’re holding it together, but every vessel has a breaking point.
