The region’s high elevations, volcanic soils, and cool climate have made it one of Kenya’s most respected coffee-growing areas. After harvest, the coffee is fully washed and dried on raised beds, a process that highlights the clarity and fruit character Kenya is known for. Varieties include SL-28, SL-34, Batian, and Ruiru 11. In the cup, expect juicy strawberry, tart lemonade, hibiscus, and dark chocolate. – In an effort to provide the freshest coffee possible with the lowest amount of waste, all coffee orders will be roasted at the beginning of the week and shipped out within two business days of roast.
