Giacomo Fenocchio is a family-run winery renowned for crafting exceptional, traditional-style Barolo. Now in the experienced hands of Giacomo’s son, Claudio, their low-intervention approach in the vineyard results in wines that truly reflect the region’s terroir. The Castellero vineyard lies on a gentle slope in the Barolo commune, at an elevation of 300 meters. This southeast-facing vineyard, with its more calcareous soils, is known for producing beautifully aromatic Barolos that possess both finesse and depth. The Castellero cru expresses Nebbiolo in a more approachable and floral way compared to the powerhouse styles from Monforte d’Alba.
