Story Originally conceived as an experimental evolution of a legendary custom guitar design, the Wolf Jr. was never fully realized as a working stage instrument. Its unusual headless construction and unique tremolo system made it one of the most fascinating “what if?” concepts of its era. It was ambitious, innovative, and ultimately ahead of its time. Our Wolf Jr. is inspired by the idea of what that instrument could have become. As part of the Dead Revival Series, this modern interpretation preserves the unmistakable aesthetic character of the original concept while reimagining it as a practical, performance-ready guitar for today’s players. We’ve traded the experimental tremolo system for a more straightforward hardtail approach, added a traditional peghead design, and focused on creating an instrument that feels immediately familiar, stable, and roadworthy. The result is a guitar that captures the spirit of the original vision without being bound by its limitations, blending vintage-inspired craftsmanship, elegant styling, and modern playability into something entirely its own.
