Learn how to create a trendy and eye-catching geode cake design in this hands-on decorating class. Students will explore several cake decorating techniques while transforming a cake into a beautiful geode-inspired design with marbled fondant, carved details, edible color, and crystal decorations. In this class, students will learn how to create realistic marbled fondant effects, properly cover a cake with fondant, carve a geode opening, work with edible food coloring, and use edible painting techniques to add depth and detail. Our instructor will also guide students through building the geode effect using edible crystal decorations for a bold finished look. This class is a great fit for students who want to build their cake decorating skills while learning a popular modern cake design. Students will go home with a completed geode cake to enjoy. All supplies and materials are included. Ages 14+ Class Policy & Attire Guidelines NY Cake Academy classes are held at our Manhattan flagship location at 118 W 22nd Street, New York, NY. All class supplies and materials are included. Our classes are hands-on, interactive experiences. Please wear comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, and keep long hair tied back while working in the kitchen. Our hands-on classes may have up to 22 students. Each participant will have their own workstation and will complete the projects individually while benefiting from live instruction and guidance throughout the class. Cancellations, Class Changes & Transfers Cancellations or class changes must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled class. Any class switch or transfer is subject to a $35.00 administrative fee and is based on availability.
