The name was revived in 1978, when the modern Chicks spent two decades as a Double-A minor league club at Tim McCarver Stadium. Affiliated over the years with Montreal, Kansas City, San Diego and Seattle, the Chicks captured a Southern League title in 1990 as a Kansas City Royals affiliate before relocating to Jackson, Tennessee after the 1997 season to become the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx.
