It is the smallest unit currently available to make an observatory remotely operable. 10Micron has updated the hardware of the electronic control box. From now on, all 10Micron mounts will be shipped with the new Version 3 Control Box as standard. The Remote Switch is perfect for permanent installation in an observatory. For reasons of failure safety, we have placed great emphasis on a safe standard. The module can be connected to the same LAN network as the mount. After installation, the module can be accessed in the network via the assigned IP address via any web browser. The OMS-Nano is preconfigured to be used directly for a 10Micron mount. All cables are prefabricated and enclosed. In addition, we have written an instruction manual, which goes into the use with a 10Micron mount decidedly. Optionally, you can connect the switch module to your computer using the USB cable in order to configure the network settings of the switch module or to import firmware updates. For normal operation, you only need a connection via the network cable. Each 10Micron GM or AZ mount can be switched on and off remotely via the external switching device OMS-Nano (Observation Management System). The previous power supply socket has been replaced by a two-pole Binder connector for 24V DC. In addition, the control box has been upgraded with an enhanced AUX interface – a 6-pin AUX connector (DIN EN 61076-2-106) and new RJ ports for LAN, autoguider, and GPS ensure reliable signal transmission. The GPS module is now connected via a PS2 interface (instead of RJ) and features an integrated PPS signal for highly precise time measurement, ideal for satellite tracking. The OMS-Nano replaces the function of the ON/OFF rocker switch with a push button and sends a signal for a few seconds rather than continuously.
