Manageable in size, widely available and familiar enough to be approachable, it is the natural starting point for anyone learning to skin and prepare wild game. We supply each rabbit whole and unprocessed, with head, feet and coat all present, and check the fur for condition before dispatch. Rabbits supplied outside the main season will have been previously frozen, and the fur may appear damp due to defrosting or condensation during carriage. For taxidermists, photographers and film production, rabbit is a clean, well-proportioned small mammal specimen. Our smaller rabbits, at under 1kg, are a practical option for Cub groups and school sessions where younger children need something lighter to handle. Please note: as this rabbit has not been processed by our butchery, we are unable to undertake our usual quality control checks on the meat. It will arrive with traces of blood on the fur. The vast majority of rabbits are in excellent condition, but customers purchasing for consumption should be aware that we cannot guarantee meat quality as we would with our oven-ready range.
