Soil Health. Fertility. Long-Term Growth. More Flowers. More Fruit. Stronger, Healthier Plants. New Release Special $10 Flat Rate Shipping Australia Wide WHAT IS BLACK GRIT? Black Grit is a natural fused mineral blend rich in calcium, magnesium, silicon and phosphorus. It works with your soil, not against it, breaking down slowly through microbial activity to improve soil structure, support long-term fertility and help move nutrients where plants need them most. Unlike soluble fertilisers, Black Grit does not leach or wash away. It stays in the soil, building strength over time. WHY USE IT? Black Grit is more than just a fertiliser, it’s a soil builder. It helps: Improve soil structure and condition Increase nutrient holding capacity (CEC) Support microbial life and soil biology Unlock tied-up nutrients, especially phosphorus Deliver slow-release mineral nutrition over time In low fertility or acidic soils, it also helps balance pH naturally while feeding the plant at the same time. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT? Black Grit is made from naturally occurring minerals that have been fused together, not chemically treated. This creates a stable, slow-release mineral source that: Won’t burn plants Won’t leach away Works with natural soil processes Feeds both the soil and the plant Think of it as the foundation layer that supports everything else you add. HOW TO USE BLACK GRIT Black Grit is easy to apply and fits into any garden routine. Seedlings Mix a small amount into the soil before planting. Water in well. Established gardens Move mulch aside, sprinkle around plants, lightly scratch into the soil, then water deeply. Trees & shrubs Apply in a wide ring under the drip line.
