Jim's Picnic Riesling 2025

Blend Riesling (100%), CANBERRA DISTRICT Season The 2024/2025 growing season commenced with good spring rains, giving way to a warm and dryish summer. The benign conditions through to harvest yielded high quality, disease-free fruit. Viticulture Riesling is grown on deep reddish granite loam on a number of vineyards at Murrumbateman. Winemaking The grapes were harvested for optimum freshness and vibrancy in late February and early March 2025. Whole-bunch pressed oxidatively, the juice was inoculated with a neutral yeast strain and fermented at 17 deg Celsius, before clarification and bottling in April 2025. Taste This dry style is clean on the nose with aromas of white flowers and lime-dominant citrus. The bouquet is threaded with herbal, floral and mineral notes. A crunchy mid-palate yields to a bright and lingering finish.
