Domaine Pattes Loup, Chablis 'Vent d'Ange', 2022

This is proper Chablis, and we wouldn’t expect anything less from the flagship wine of Pattes Loup. Fresh grapefruit and armfuls of fresh herbs lead the charge on this wine, with a grounding flinty undertone. This is bright, quintessential Chablis with concentration and depth that sets it apart from its competitors and keeps you coming back for more. The key to this wine is in the attention to detail. The wine is given individual treatment each vintage, with two or three winters on lees and time in all manner of vessels; concrete eggs and vats, steel, barrels and foudre. This wine needs something sexy on the table with it; fat scallops in puddles of butter would be a delight.
