Rags to Riches Cabernet Sauvignon 2024

COLOUR Deep ruby red with violet hue. AROMATICS Aromas of plum, blackcurrant, mint, and subtle anise. PALATE Forest fruit flavours and dark chocolate are balanced with soft acidity and lingering, savoury tannins. FOOD PAIRING Authentic Greek moussaka where the succulent layers of eggplant and rich tomato and lamb sauce, topped with nutmeg-scented bechamel pair perfectly with the varietal fruit characters of the wine. VINTAGE NOTES The 2023/2024 growing season was warm and dry, leading to one of the earliest harvests we've had. Our canopy management and irrigation techniques were on point to allow fruit to achieve optimum ripeness and retain pure varietal and regional presence. This wine is predominately from a single vineyard site in Treeton. The row orientation is east west, allowing the fruit to achieve optimum ripeness without excessive Baume.
