Moorcroft The King's Path - South East Skies Plaque
H 25cm x W 29cm x D 2cm Designer: Emma Bossons FRSA Numbered Edition The starling murmurations at Brighton Palace Pier are one of the south coast’s most remarkable winter spectacles. Between November and February, thousands of starlings gather at dusk, sweeping across the evening sky in vast, fluid formations before settling beneath the pier to roost for the night. These dramatic aerial displays create ever-changing patterns and shapes, moving in perfect synchrony as the birds twist and turn above the shoreline. The King Charles III England Coast Path is a 2,700-mile National Trail tracing the entire English coastline. Opened in March 2026, it passes through beaches, cliffs, coastal towns and ever-changing landscapes, offering greater access for walkers to experience the shoreline and its surrounding margins. Inspired by the natural world and that sense of ‘fresh air therapy’, Emma has interpreted the eight sections of the path across eight individual pieces. From views directly along the trail to nearby coastal scenes, the varied beauty of England’s coastline is captured in ceramic form.
