The surface line of products will throttle the performance if it senses that the chassis temperature is getting too hot to touch. (These are tablets after all) If the chassis is too hot, the Surface Pro will limit clock speeds and performance. By keeping the chassis cool; you allow the device to perform sustained workloads at much higher performance. In my testing we can see in some instances we were doubling the performance for those sustained workloads vs. no fan in the same ambient temperature. Why is your fan any different from a fan I can just buy off amazon? The biggest difference is that my Fan; especially the USB-C version for Surface Pro 7-11 is unmatched in ease of usage. It pops right on / looks great, takes up very little space / attaches magnetically and is unlike anything else I've ever seen for this purpose. It's also a great opportunity to support my channel. You should only buy the USB-C Version if you have a Surface Pro 7-11 device, the benefit of the USB-C version is it pops right on; no cables and the fan is in position.
