Advanced Pine Needle Basketry (May 16th, 1-5pm • Boulder)

Level: Intermediate/Advanced — Prerequisite: A pine needle basketry class taught by Allie or similar experience. You should be able to create simple pine needle baskets already. Expand your knowledge of pine needle basketry in this class for intermediate to advanced basketmakers! We’ll spend the afternoon making a more advanced basket, with a new stitch pattern. You’ll leave the class having made either a lid with a handle for a pre-existing pine needle basket or creating a new small vessel with advanced techniques. This class is designed for students who have taken an Intro To Pine Needle Basketry class with Allie, or have equivalent experience. All weaving materials and tools are provided. Ages 12 and up.
