Sashiko Pot Holder [A (Medium)]
This pot holder features beautiful sashiko stitching on one side, worked on vintage Japanese textile. The pattern combines traditional motifs such as Takeda hishi-sashi, combined with kaki no hana (persimmon flower), ga-sashi (moth motifs), hana-jūji (floral cross), kome no hana (rice flower), and soroban (abacus) motifs. This is a slightly larger version compared to the other pot holders. The reverse side is finished in a boro style, made from carefully arranged vintage fabric remnants, stitched together with expressive, random sashiko work. Each piece is carefully handmade by ITOTSUZURI, reflecting a thoughtful and enduring approach to making. A small loop allows for easy hanging. It can be used as a practical pot holder, or placed beneath a teapot or dish as part of a table setting. It also makes a quiet, decorative presence when hung in the kitchen. Other designs are also available.
