Ivory Pure Kanjivaram Silk Saree with Multicolour Meenakari Buttas

Woven in pure mulberry silk on a soft ivory ground, this Kanjivaram saree is scattered all over with delicate meenakari buttas — tiny floral clusters inlaid in multicolour silk threads of green, purple, pink, orange, and yellow. It is a rare weaving technique where coloured threads are inlaid by hand into the silk body during weaving itself, with no embroidery added after. The broad border is woven in dense antique gold zari, carrying traditional peacock and paisley motifs with characteristic Kanjivaram depth and precision.
