Rivers-Marie Vintage Note: "You can really taste the coolness of the vintage in the 2023 Bearwallow. The slightly higher acidity pushes all the zippy citrus fruit to the front of the palate never allowing the traditional yellow fruited notes to come forward. There’s also more minerality in this edition as well as a sappy green herb component that adds complexity and a savory nuance to the fruit. Tea features prominently here too with some chamomile notes that add a sense of structure to the mid-palate, broadening the wine and giving it greater intensity. Honeyed orange peel, green almonds and a sea spray note complete the finish adding to the complexity in the 2023 Bearwallow.
