strawberry peanut twist (aka PB&J)

We brought this wild flavor idea to this year’s CA Strawberry Festival in Ventura and are happy to report: customers got it. Like, really got it. Strawberry Peanut Twist is our version of a PB&J … except our jam is licorice. Specifically, Darrell Lea’s flavor-loaded Soft Australian Licorice. The second we tried it, we started thinking about dropping that chewy strawberry goodness onto our p.o.p. peanut for the perfect sweet-and-salty mashup. So we did. And as Natasha K later added, this one is here for you in all its “ooey gooey” goodness!! A couple things to know about this flavor: (1) It’s an exception to our rule. Darrell Lea is quality licorice made with some ingredients we don’t normally use ourselves, so here’s the heads up: THIS FLAVOR CONTAINS: • Peanuts • Milk • Soy • Gluten • Loads of *major* flavor attitude (2) This flavor is super fun … but it’s also a lotta work. Hand-chopping and cooking with thick licorice is no small task!
