Here is a nice vintage Favorite Piqua Ware cast iron skillet, size #7, made in Piqua, Ohio sometime between 1916-1934. It is known to collectors as the "smiley" logo for the curved line under the Favorite Piqua Ware logo on bottom. It is marked with the smiley logo and 8 A underneath, the top side has no markings. Like most older skillets, it has a heat ring on the bottom . It measures 9.75" across, 14.25" in overall length including handle, and is 2" deep. This was an estate sale find but has been professionally restored. It is a real piece of vintage Americana from about 100 years ago! No cracks or chips, sits completely flat on granite. Minor utensil marks inside as expected from use over the years. Also a couple flea bite casting flaws on the cooking surface and the handle hole casting is a bit rough as shown. In very nice condition for use or display. It is rust free, professionally restored via electrolysis. It has been seasoned with multiple coats of grapeseed oil.
