Same price no matter the order size. Description A classic Purple Stripe variety that originates from the Republic of Georgia in Eastern Europe. It is a joy to grow as it performs well under a wide range of conditions. It is very cold-hardy and does well on a range of soil types. Has beautifully coloured bulbs that clean easily. Cloves have a hot and spicy flavour that can linger nicely. Flavour mellows over time with storage and cooking. Good for baking with a creamy texture. As with other Purple Stripes, its plants are medium-sized with slender leaves. Produces large bulbs, but requires scape removal, adequate moisture, and good fertility for maximum bulb size. Bulbs have 8 to 10 cloves and store 6 to 8 months. Canadian Heritage Variety Garlic is a heavy feeder. For best results, apply a well-balanced organic fertilizer at planting and in spring.
