Seaside Volcanic - 5'9"
After a couple of years of riding the Go Fish, Rob Machado felt there was room to develop the board into something more high performance, allowing for more carves and tighter turns. Taking the Go Fish, he's refined it with less area in the tail and narrowing both the swallow tail and the nose. The Go FIsh is still a hugely popular board in it's own right, and these boards sit perfectly side by side.. Look at it as Go FIsh for fun and cruisy, and the Seaside for performance and rippability. Rob has completely redesigned the bottom contours to suit the quad fin set up. Unlike the Go Fish, the Seaside is strictly a quad. The Seaside, (named after Rob's local break), is available in Helium technology. After testing a prototype in LFT, Rob felt Helium would suit the beach breaks and littlewpoints that the board will really light up in, due to the light weigfht and responsive properties. Helium Volcanic Technology: The Volcanic tech combined with the now familiar Helium set up is a brilliant step forward in terms of performance but also has a reduced environmental impact compared to traditional surfboard builds. Volcanic Tech is made from Basalt Fibres Extruded from Volcanic rocks. The rocks are crushed, melted and extruded into woven fibres that make up the cloth. The molten rock is then extruded through small nozzles to produce continuous filaments of basalt fibre. The filaments are then cut into long stem fibres and woven into lamination cloth fibre. The cloth has similar characteristics to carbon as it relates to strength and weight however because the fibres are derived from Organic Raw materials, when combined with Bio Resins it serves as better degradable ECO alternative than using traditional carbon fibre cloth. Ability: Suitable for everyone from the beginner right up to expert Bottom Contours: Board Eat Board/Double Rails: Full and forgiving rails Ideal Wave Size: 1-5ft
