WhistlePig Boss Hog XIII 'The Golden Pharaoh' Straight Rye Whiskey

The thirteenth release in WhistlePig's Boss Hog series, The Golden Pharaoh draws on ancient Egyptian design and ingredients rarely used in rye whiskey. Distilled and aged at the WhistlePig farm in Shoreham, Vermont, this single barrel straight rye begins in new American oak before finishing in barrels seasoned with Egyptian black honey and tiger nut. Bottled at barrel strength, it carries notes of brown sugar, cinnamon, toasted almond, molasses, and baking spice over a peppery rye backbone. Each bottle is individually barrel-numbered and topped with a hand-cast pewter pharaoh stopper. Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water, and pairs well with dark chocolate, roasted nuts, or a cigar.
