Warbird

The following letter has been translated from Emu into English. December 10th 1932. Our campaign is finally over. Heavily outnumbered and without using a single weapon, we, the Emu, are victorious. We experienced minimal casualties against the 20,000 strong Australian Military forces. Not even their Lewis Machine Guns were able to stop us. I have been hit multiple times in the past weeks of this senseless game of war, but fear not, tis just a scratch. It was the visionary genius of General E to issue us all at the beginning of this unnecessary war, with silk shirts we colloquially call, the Warbird. Perhaps it was a placebo effect that created confidence, perhaps it was because we felt so good when wearing them, I am not sure. All I know is this shirt we all wore without pants was on our backs when we tasted the sweet victory, we are proud of today. In one hundred years or so, someone will hopefully tell our story and when they do, may they highlight the quality, style and comfort that I feel under pressure with the ‘Warbird’, the standard issue for this battle which was provided by Joe Bananas.
