The LED sits out of sight where the ring meets the base and travels round the whole circumference, so the shape lights up as one continuous band rather than as a lamp with a bright spot in it. Off, it is a saturated orange circle nearly 20″ across — more object than appliance, and the reason it holds a console during daylight hours. On, that same shell turns the light warm and low-glare — a fixed 3000K, the temperature that flatters a room rather than lights it up. Supplied in black and orange with 59″ of cord and a choice of US, UK, EU or AU plug. Nearly 20 Inches Across Far larger than a standard table lamp — it holds a console on its own rather than filling a gap. Colour When It’s Off Most lamps go blank in daylight. The ring is acrylic, cut and finished so light entering at the base travels the full circumference instead of pooling near the source. The base is iron, weighted and electroplated, doing the unglamorous work of keeping a 19.7″ circle upright. Acrylic Ring Cut and edge-finished so the band lights evenly. Acrylic also survives a knock that would end a glass ring this size. Electroplated Iron Plated after the surface is prepared, because a dark finish records every mark left underneath it. Concealed LED Band The light engine and driver sit inside the base. Nothing to fit, nothing visible, nothing to replace on a shelf. It works best where there is wall behind it and space around it — give it a surface at least 16″ deep. Console & Sideboard Best fit The strongest position. A plain wall behind turns the ring into a graphic, and the height fills space a low lamp would leave empty. Bedside Warm, low glare A comfortable last light of the evening rather than something you read by. The ring is 19.7″ across, so measure your nightstand before committing. Desk & Studio Ambient, not task It lifts a work corner and reads well on camera. It is not a task light though — pair it with something directional over the desk itself. Shelf & Retail Display Needs clearance above A lit circle draws the eye down a shelving run better than anything on the shelf will. Allow headroom — the lamp stands 19.3″ tall. FAQ How big is it really? The ring is 19.7″ across and the lamp stands 19.3″ tall — wider than most table lamps and closer in presence to a small floor lamp. Allow a surface at least 16″ deep and check headroom if it is going on a shelf. Can I dim it? No. Output is fixed at 3000K warm white, and there is no dimmer inside the lamp. It should not be plugged into an external dimmer either — the integrated driver is not designed for one. Is it bright enough to light a room? Not on its own. At roughly 12W it is an accent light — enough to make a corner glow and to move around by, not enough to replace a ceiling fixture or read by comfortably. Treat it as one layer of the lighting in a room. Is there a bulb to buy or replace? No. The LED and its driver are built into the base, so there is nothing to fit on arrival and nothing to change later. If the light engine ever fails, contact us with your order number rather than opening the base. Does the plug match my country? Choose US, UK, EU or AU at checkout and the lamp ships with that plug fitted. The lamp itself runs on AC 110–240 V, so it works anywhere in that range. Where is the switch, and how long is the cord? A push button on the cord switches the lamp on and off. The cord is 150 cm / 59″ and can be supplied longer on request — ask before you order. Is the orange as strong as it looks in photographs? It is a saturated orange, and screens tend to under-represent rather than exaggerate it. In a neutral room it will be the strongest colour present — that is the intent, but it is worth being sure before ordering. How do I clean acrylic without ruining it? A soft dry cloth, or barely damp for marks. Acrylic scratches more easily than glass and clouds permanently under solvent cleaners, so keep window cleaner, alcohol wipes and anything abrasive away from it. What if it arrives damaged? Photograph the carton and the lamp and contact us within 48 hours of delivery, and we will arrange a replacement. Acrylic travels well, but the ring is large and transit damage is still possible.
