Domaine Taupenot-Merme Auxey Duresses Rouge 1er Cru 2022

Domaine Taupenot-Merme is a family domaine in Morey-Saint-Denis run by Romain Taupenot, the ninth generation, with production of around 7,000 cases per year. This 2022 1er Cru Auxey-Duresses comes from the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy and is made from Pinot Noir. Grapes are sourced from two premier cru sites: Les Duresses and Les Grands Champs. Hand-harvested grapes are de-stemmed and undergo a cold soak before fermentation with wild yeast, pigeages and remontages are gentle, new oak is used judiciously, the wines are bottled unfiltered with few exceptions, and sulfur doses are kept to a minimum.
