57″ Straight Leg Rigid Frame

VT No: 51-1957 57″ retro rigid frame straight leg original style is updated to accept flat side gas/oil tanks. Original forged parts include: neck, side car mounts and rear axle area. For all Big Twin eingines with 4, 5 or 6 speed transmission. Shovelhead, Evolution and TC-88 engines require a tin inner primary. Accepts Knuckle or Flathead engine with mount spacer. Use with disc brake and 87-UP style rear caliper, 1986-1989 Softail gas tank, rear tire 230 w/ chain or 200 w/ belt or chain drive and a 3/4″ rigid rear axle. Will not accept a stock seat post. Neck is 2″ extended over stock, with 30? rake. **NOTE: Seat post and cross shaft bushings may require further reaming for proper fit. The frame is taller in the engine compartment to house the Evolution and TC-88 thru 110 motors. Rigid mount 5 and 6 speed transmission with the aluminum inner and outer primarys, check height of transmission plate for correct primary alignment. In some instances it may be necessary to ream or file holes slightly in order to assemble parts onto the frame. Assembled with detailed casting at all poimts, tool box mount included.
