Inspired by the Filipino sweet treat, Halo-Halo, which translates to Mix-Mix and is a delightful shaved ice treat. The elements can vary from recipe to recipe but it always features a healthy scoop of Ube ice cream and a chunk of flan on top. The most common fillings are jackfruit slices, sweet beans and cubes of jelly coconut. The fillings are layered in with shaved ice and evaporated milk is poured over top.
