Released at the end of the 1980s, the SDS-2000 was one of the last electronic drum systems produced by the original Simmons company. Unlike the analog Simmons machines that came before it, the SDS-2000 was fully digital, using PCM drum sounds derived from the legendary Simmons SDX sound library.
