Blue Poppy 9

This one feels almost like it is dancing. Originally white and sprayed blue by Woodson and Byrd, the poppy opened into this wonderfully odd shape, with its petals reaching in every direction. I love the unexpected blue, the unruly edges and the little flashes of gold at its center. It is joyful and imperfect, transformed by something as simple as my children and a can of blue paint.
