Dorozome MA-1

An MA-1–style blouson dyed using the traditional Dorozome(mud-dyeing) technique of Amami Oshima, pursuing the ultimate black—a deep, dimensional “black” perfected by Oshima Tsumugi and unattainable in the natural world. Modern artisans carry on this meticulous process, dyeing the garment entirely with natural materials. The sashiko-detailed tape on the cigarette pocket adds an additional accent. The outer shell is nylon, while the lining uses a double-woven fabric with an ichimatsu check pattern. The garment promises distinctive aging over time and can also can be re-dyed, allowing for long-term wear.
