Handbuilt Abstract Vases

Build a vase that’s as much sculpture as it is functional! In this one-day handbuilding workshop, students will use slabs of clay to create abstract, architectural vase forms with playful curves, cutouts, and negative space. You’ll learn how to plan and cut your shapes, create strong slab joins, and assemble a dimensional form while exploring proportion, balance, and silhouette. We’ll glaze and fire your vase for you, and it will be ready for pickup 3 weeks after class. This workshop is beginner-friendly and kid-friendly. Kids ages 12+ are welcome to participate if accompanied by an adult. See available class times below. For cancellations made fewer than 4 full days, but more than 24 hours before the start time, a 50% refund or 50% credit toward another class or workshop will be issued. We cannot provide refunds or credits for cancellations or rescheduling requests made fewer than 24 hours before the start time of class, if you miss your class, or arrive too late to participate
