This Time Around

Part pinwheel, part flower, entirely eye-catching, the brooch that here becomes the main design feature of a necklace is a one-of-a-kind creation in and of itself. Artist Inga Engele fashions jewelry - largely brooches - from vintage materials, like the colorful components (vintage Czech and German glass) that adorn the lobes of the brooch, all mounted on a vintage filigree base. Wanting to make the brooch-pendant the bold belle of the ball, we simply added glossy polished black onyx beads and a brass toggle clasp at back to complete the look. Necklace measures 21” in overall length.
