TASTING NOTE: "The 2024 Langhe Nebbiolo continues this series of fine entry-level offerings from Burlotto. All the elements are so well balanced. Silky tannins and gracious mid-weight structure are the signatures. Cool blue-toned fruit, graphite, lavender and menthol lend notable aromatic presence and overall perfume. (Drink between 2026-2032)." 91 Points - Antonio Galloni, Vinous ABOUT THE WINE: The grapes are harvested in top-quality vineyards which, due to age of the vines or specific climatic conditions of the vintage, we think are ideal for producing a wine that highlights the most immediate and gentle characteristics of the grape. The harvest is carried out by hand, in order to preserve the integrity of the fruit and to allow for, when necessary, a selection of the grapes which are then transported to the cellar in 20 kg boxes. The bunches are de-stemmed and the must moved by gravity into open French oak vats and open stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation takes place. During the maceration, delicate pumping over and punching down are carried out daily. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks followed by aging in large French oak barrels. G.B Burlotto ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Fabio Alessandria is the fifth generation wine maker of storied, Verduno based producer G.M Burlotto. The house philosophy is simple and elegant; manual operations in the vineyard, sustainable viticulture, the use of large barrels, gentle cellar work and patience. These non-negotiables produce some of the worlds most sought after Barolo wines and a suite of entry level wines that are benchmarks for their varietals.
