AcuRite Portable Lightning Detector

Take lightning awareness with you using the AcuRite portable lightning detector, a compact personal device built to help you monitor storm activity wherever your day takes you. The detector senses cloud-to-ground, cloud-to-cloud, and intra-cloud lightning within a 25-mile (40 km) range, then alerts you with an audible alarm, flashing red LED, and a visible message on the display when strikes are detected. It also shows a running strike count and an estimated distance to the lightning-producing storm, giving you quick, at-a-glance insight into changing conditions. Designed for portability, the detector features a belt clip, backlit screen, mute function, and selectable English/French display. The detector features indoor and outdoor operating modes, plus enhanced interference rejection to help reduce false detections in challenging environments. For power, it uses 2 AAA batteries and includes an optional USB-C power input for extended use when portability is less important.
